Katy Perry to sign $2 million book deal?

The 'Wide Awake' singer is said to have agreed a deal to write an autobiography titled Part of Me, according to The Sun.

The book will allegedly chart her life and career so far, including her marriage and divorce from Russell Brand.

Perry is said to be hoping to bring out her story soon, in case Brand unveils another chapter of his Booky Wook series.

A source said: "Several publishers have been after Katy for a while. She decided to go ahead so fans don't have a one-sided story when Russell publishes another Booky Wook."

Katy Perry is currently dating singer John Mayer. Friends of the pair recently denied rumors that they had got engaged.

Perry divorced Russell Brand in late 2011. She is currently working on her next studio album, the follow-up to the highly successful Teenage Dream.
